I’m the night shift X-ray & CT Tech at San Mateo County Hospital since early 2007; mostly ER/ICU work and often interesting. I usually enjoy it.
Front-line medical work is a big change from my 20 years of electronics with HP where I started as a factory tech, moved up to Customer Engineer in field service, and finally became a Project Manager. It all ended in the 2001 Dot Com bust.
After that I earned a K-9 teaching credential and taught Middle School a few years. It was fun, but too much work, too little money, and my inadequate disciplinary skills ended that career path. Health Care looks much more promising.
